PROtek Preschool Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PROtek Preschool handles information when the PROtek Installer and PROtek Preschool software are used.
Google user data accessed
When a school account owner signs in with Google, PROtek may receive basic Google account information, including the account email address and basic profile information, together with Google OAuth authorization credentials. With the owner's authorization, the PROtek Installer accesses the Google Cloud and Firebase resources needed to create, select, configure, verify, and manage the school's requested backend. PROtek requests this access only for the customer-authorized installation and management functions provided by the PROtek Installer.
How Google user data is used
PROtek uses Google user data only to authenticate and identify the authorized school account owner and to perform the Google Cloud and Firebase setup or management actions that the user requests through the PROtek Installer. PROtek does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling for advertising, lending, or other unrelated purposes.
Data sharing and transfer
PROtek does not sell Google user data, transfer it to data brokers or advertisers, or share one school's Google user data with another school. Google user data may be processed through Google services as necessary to perform the user-requested Google Cloud and Firebase operations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect the security, integrity, or legal rights of users or the service. PROtek does not otherwise transfer Google user data to third parties for unrelated purposes.
Data protection
PROtek uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect Google account and application data. Each school is provisioned with a separate Firebase backend to isolate school application data. Google OAuth access credentials used by the desktop installer are kept in application memory for the active installer session and are not intentionally written by the installer to local application storage. Access is used only for authorized setup and management requests.
Data retention and deletion
The PROtek Installer does not intentionally persist the Google OAuth access token to local application storage. The installer clears its in-memory Google authorization credentials when authorization is cleared or the installer exits. Other account or application information retained in a school's Firebase backend remains under that school's control and is retained as needed to provide the PROtek service or meet applicable legal obligations. Users may revoke PROtek's Google access through their Google Account security settings. Users may also contact the PROtek software provider or support contact supplied with the product to request assistance concerning deletion of information controlled by PROtek.
Google API Services User Data Policy
PROtek's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features described in this policy and is not sold or transferred for advertising or other prohibited purposes.
User choices
Users may revoke PROtek's Google access from their Google Account security settings. Revoking access may prevent PROtek from performing future Google Cloud or Firebase management operations until authorization is granted again.
Contact
Questions about this policy may be directed to the PROtek software provider or support contact supplied with the PROtek Preschool product.
